Jenn Hollister
Fantasy author. Lifelong storyteller. Former defender of imaginary kingdoms.

WHo IS JENN HOLLISTER?
First and foremost, I'm a mother to two beautifully witty and amazing daughters. I'm also an artist, a poet, a small business owner—and, after a lifetime of dreaming about it, finally an author.
I grew up just outside Mineral Wells, Texas, on more than thirty acres that gave a little girl plenty of room to turn ordinary woods and fields into entire worlds. Armed with a wooden stick and an invisible shield, I was the only girl knight brave enough to fight off the monsters and dragons lurking beyond the trees. At least, that's how I remember it.
When I wasn't busy defending the kingdom, you could usually find me hiding under the blankets after bedtime, flashlight in hand, lost in Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern. Later, I discovered the darker side of storytelling through Dean Koontz and picked up a few other lessons from the romance novels I stole from my mom's bookshelf.
I dreamed of writing my own stories for most of my life. The hard part was never imagining stories. It was finding the courage to write them and then let someone else read them.
Today, I write fantasy for readers who like their magic dangerous, their mysteries tangled, and their heroines just a little too stubborn to stay out of trouble. The Royal Daughter Series is where ancient magic collides with the modern world, family secrets refuse to stay buried, and saving the world still leaves room for sarcasm, found family, and a slow-burn romance.
And somewhere underneath it all, I'm probably still that little girl in the Texas countryside, wooden sword in hand, invisible shield at the ready, wondering what might be hiding just beyond the trees.
